Email notification setup
Overview
Passwork supports several methods for setting up email notifications, each optimized for a specific scenario. Below are the recommended use cases (however, other configurations are allowed if they meet all requirements).
Public mail services (for example Gmail)
- It is recommended to use Manual configuration or DSN;
- Setting up a Local Service in such cases can usually impose restrictions and the setup may become more complicated.
Internal mail servers (for example, Exchange)
- Preferably use Manual configuration or DSN if the mail server supports the corresponding functions;
- Local Service (Postfix or Windows SMTP) is recommended only if there are no other options or if special configuration is required.
