Vaults
Passwork vaults are root-level encrypted containers that store folders and passwords. They use a special cryptographic algorithm which ensures that your data is kept safe.
There are two basic types of vaults in Passwork: user vaults and company vaults
User vaults are containers, that by default are accessible only to their owner. They are divided into private and shared vaults.
A private vault becomes shared when other users are added to it
Company vaults are vaults that, besides their creator, non-removable corporate administrators have access to.
You can create and set up vault types on the Vault settings page
Using vault types, Passwork administrators can:
- configure who can create vaults of a certain type;
- automatically assign non-removable vault administrators;
- manage the rights of vault creators;
Both types of vaults support a folder-based multi-level structure: administrators can build a hierarchy of vaults with nested folders inside.
