Passwork is a self-hosted product, so updates ship as controlled release packages instead of being pushed into customer infrastructure. Each release goes through security checks, testing, and final validation. Distribution packages are prepared in an isolated release process and signed with the company's private key inside an isolated environment. Customers verify the signature before installation.

Two install paths are supported. The automatic update script downloads the package, verifies the signature, creates a backup if needed, and applies the update with fast rollback if anything goes wrong. The fully manual update flow is available for isolated environments, regulated companies, and teams that want to test new versions in staging before production. Manual installs also cover clustered deployments across several servers and multiple data centers, so each customer can fit Passwork updates into its own CI/CD process.

Updates are delivered only through official Passwork channels. Passwork does not publish to public package registries such as npm.
